"Then you are indeed a naturally good person." Ash stated matter-of-factly, nodding serenely and lightly chuckling. She didn't know why but just talking to this girl made the weight of the world on her shoulders, that little bit lighter. Like she could act more naturally ... Probably because they were the same age and she wasn't used to talking to other people, made her feel a little better.
But the SOLDIER had to admit that it was just a little uncomfortable ... She rarely conversed with people and thus she didn't really know what to say at all. All she could do really was answer questions and go from there. But it was extremely relieving to just be treated normally - a lot of people weren't really in favour of Shin-Ra and SOLDIER because of lust for blood.

"Perhaps that is so..." Aerith commented softly. A ever so faint shimmer met her out of the corner of her eye. Wondering what it was, she bent over to pick up the dirty object. A small patch of silver was visible through the dirt, and it made her extremely curious. Wiping off the dark earth, her eyes widened slightly when a coin was revealed.
Laughing softly, she smiled. "I guess this a lucky day. Meeting someone interesting and finding a coin." It wasn't even that big of a coin; not being worth much at all. And yet...finding it here of all places seemed almost like an omen.

"I wouldn't really say I was interesting as such ..." Ash admitted, shrugging her slender shoulders as se spoke. The dark leather clothing she wore really made her skin seem even paler than it usually was, giving her a rather ghostly look infact. But she had never once cared - she never tanned anyway, no matter how hard she tried. And she rather thought it was just something that made her more individual.
"Coins mean luck ... Maybe something good will happen for you." She added, eyeing the silver coin with cyan orbs. But it was true - finding coins was said to be lucky, atleast for superstitious people. Ash wasn't one of those but still it seemed like the right thing to say nonetheless.

Aerith smiled, breathing deeply to immerse herself in the pleasant smell of the flowers. She found that they always made her feel happy, and to add to how she already felt would only be a good thing. She looked at Ashley, green eyes soft as she did so. It was true; she did look different from most of the people around here, but then, Aerith supposed she did as well.
There was just something about the SOLDIER that made her seem more interesting than most people. Perhaps it was just because the flower girl hadn't talked with many other girls her own age. "Well then. I hope it will be something really good."

"I bet it will be." Ashley mused, a small smile spreading across her lips as she looked at the coin and then back to the flowers in her own hands. No doubt she'd be getting a call from Sephiroth soon enough, telling her to get her butt back to Junon to deal with the trainees. It seemed that she always got the boring jobs concerning new recruits and to be honest she rather despised the other SOLDIER at times.
"Do you live far from here Aerith?" The female asked, truly curious. She knew she lived in the slums somewhere, but Midgar was always dangerous - so she rather thought the flower girl travelling here on her own everday might cause problems. Well, it would if the Turks weren't watching her every move. They would probably deal with any fiends that showed up.

Tilting her head to the side, Aerith shook her head. "No, I live pretty close by; on the other side of the main Sector 5 Slums." She said, her voice slightly distasteful. She had never liked that part of the city, for everyone there seemed even more depressed and distant than the people from the other parts of Midgar.
But then, she supposed she did live there, so she should at least be grateful that they didn't talk to her very much other than when some of them occasionally bought her flowers. In fact, that was what she was going to do today. It was the perfect day to sell flowers in the slums on her way home.

Ash nodded in understanding - all the slums in Midgar were somewhat less cared for than everything above them, such as on the plate. It was like being trapped, she supposed and to be honest she rather didn't care too much for most of the people - it was their choice to stay there afterall. They could leave at any time, although they choice not to. The consequences; to stay in darkness.
"Sector 5 ..." The SOLDIER muttered - one of the worst parts of Midgar. But seenas Aerith lived there, it couldn't be all that bad. She was a flower girl afterall, maybe the flowers cheered the majority of people up. She personally lived in Junon for the time being - though she grew up in Kalm, a lovely friendly place always holding festivals and the like. She missed it.

Aerith nodded, looking calmly down at her flowers. She didn't truly mind living anywhere, although at times, she wished she lived outside of Midgar. Maybe one day she'd be able to at least leave for a short while. It was one of her hidden dreams to one day leave Midgar for a short time in order to see the rest of the world. Whether or not it would ever happen was still unclear.
Raising her head, she smiled softly at Ashley. "Yes, but it isn't that bad. The people there have just had a hard time so far in life... I'm sure it will become nicer one day." She said cheerfully, always the eternal optimist.

"Yes, I'm sure it will." Ashley agreed, nodding her head. She did think perhaps one day Midgar would be back to it's old self, although she could not deny that she knew it was Shin-Ra's fault it was like this in the first place. There was nothing she could do about it personally though and she'd just have to try and forget about it.
Just as the SOLDIER was about to say something more, she felt the vibrations from her mobile phone before the tune started playing and she immediately reached into a pocket to pick it up. Glancing at Aerith, she gave an apologetic look. "Excuse me for a second." She said, before flicking her phone open and placing it gently to her ear.
Soft mumblings could be heard coming from the small black object as the 2nd in command, listened carefully, raising a brow slightly every now and then, nodding as information was given to her. This was no doubt going to be rather daunting. "Fine, it'll be dealt with." She spoke into the phone before closing it shut and looking back to the flower girl, green eyes glazed over. "Seems theres a small problem just round the corner from here ... Want to come with me?" She asked. It truly wouldn't involve fighting so she just had to ask.

Aerith looked at her questioningly for a few seconds, wondering what kind of trouble could have popped up. Making a fast decision, she nodded, a small smile on her lips, although her eyes were serious. "Sure. Wait just a moment, alright?" she asked casually before going over to a bench where a tall staff had been placed. Picking it up, she turned back to Ashley.
"Just in case," she said calmly, holding the mythril staff at her side. Even though she probably wouldn't need it, she liked to carry it whenever she left the Church or her home in case any fiends attacked. After all, she wanted to be prepared for anything. She had to be.

"Excellent." Came Ashley's voice in reply, sounding somewhat elevated as she watched the flower girl fetch her rod. She always took her nodachi with her aswell, better to be safe than sorry afterall - Gaia was a dangerous place to move around, it was always best to have some form of protection incase of beasts or other enenmies which would want nothing more than to rip you to shreds.
So head towards the large church doors once more, Ash reached her hand over her shoulder to the 6 foot long katana, simply making sure it was easily reachable if she needed it. Amazing though - the sword was a few inches taller than she was and hard to wield for most. But she always found she prefered it over any other sword, perhaps it was because of it's connection with Sephiroth and she absolutely adored dthe man. Not that she'd ever tell the man that. "It shouldn't take long to get there ...we just have to get to sector 6. Apparently there is a thief running around with a large stash of gil."

Aerith sighed upon hearing this. Just great. A thief. She hadn't heard of any of those lately, but then, there wasn't much to steal. One appearing now seemed a little... out of the ordinary, but there was nothing to do but go and handle it. She nodded, her grip tightening on her rod. "Alright. Let's go then."
She was tempted to ask how large of a stash, but thought the better of it. Or at least she thought she did. "How many gil were stolen?" She asked, before even realizing she had spoken. When she had, she blinked, knowing it was a little too late to take it back. She was curious, so she might as well try to get an answer.

Ash glanced over at Aerith as her heels clicked over the wood, a pale hand pushing the door open again. She raised a brow at the flower girl's curiosity and usually she wouldn't even think of answering at all - it was unprofessional to give away information like that and yet this girl was harmless, it reallt wouldn't put a spanner in the works to answer her question ... Would it?
"Over 1000 gil. We're still not sure where they got it from ... It's a large amount for someone to find here in the slums unless it was stolen from someone like Don Corneo." She spoke, her voice coming across as perfectly authoritive. What she said was true - there were only a few places in the slums where high amounts of money could be taken from.

Aerith's eyes widened at the amount. That really was a large amount for the slums. After thinking, she decided Ashley was right. It was possible it was stolen from Don Corneo, but unlikely. He had high security, so she wasn't sure if anyone would even be able to get in, let alone steal anything. Then there was...
"There are the various item and weapon shops...as well as the restaurant or bar. Even the hotel costs a lot of money." She listed off a few of her other ideas as she followed the other girl closely. "Any of those places would be much easier to steal from than Don Corneo's mansion."

"Hmm ... It's possible. But something about this is rather odd. It just doesn't add up." The SOLDIER stated, moving her feet forward one step at a time as she looked to the bright sky. It was still around mid-day and there were a few people walking around. It was strange how nobody seemed to want to go into the church though ... It was a wonderful place afterall.
"I guess we'll just have to see what's going on when we get there." She added, placing her phone back in her pocket where it belonged. She had originally thought that there would be no fighting involved ... Sephiroth had said it would be straight forward. But she was rather paranoid and ... the thief thing was just out of place. "Oh and don't tell anyone I let you come with me ... Outsiders aren't supposed to know about this kind of thing."
